Chatuchak Weekend Market |
Chatuchak Weekend Market
(also know as JJ Market) open everyday but for clothing only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I have been this place for 4 times already but I still cannot remember all the sections.
(too much sections and it is too big) You can found furniture, pets, clothing, food and accessories in Chatuchak.
For me, I did Google for all sections but I didn't able to use it as it is hard to shop follow those sections. I'm always shop where I am and you can find some surprise also. For those who love second hand stuffs, Chatuchak will be your favorite place ever! Besides, handmade stuffs are also easy to find in Chatuchak. Handmade bracelet, bags, and accessories are available in Chatchak with reasonable price.
(if you good in bargain, you can get better and cheaper price)

My suggestion when you want to shop in Chatuchak,
NEVER BRING HUGE HANDBAG! Why I say so? That is based on my experiences. Chatuchak is huge but the stores walkway is small and trust me, there will be lots of people during weekend. One of the reason is to avoid from pick-pockets. Another reason is you will hit by those people pass-by. Trust me! You will be piss-off especially when you are in hot and sweaty conditions.

Small walk way |
For me, Chatuchak is the must visit place when you are in Bangkok. Who never went Chatuchak when travel to Bangkok? So I will always arrange my flight before weekend so that I can go Chatuchak on weekend. Another suggestion for me, you may go there by early morning. Some shop in Chatuchak open at 7am or 8am. So you can shop with not so hot weather in Chatuchak. I'm sure you will definitely can't stand the super hot weather at 12pm something.

Section 22 |
The first 3 times I go Chatuchak by taxi and I'm always get different offer from the driver. Some ridiculous driver will tend to charge you higher price and others. But now you may go Chatuchak by BTS.
(which is LRT in Malaysia) You just have to get down at Mo Chit Station
(last station for Mo Chit line) and walk across a bridge. Follow the crowd and you will reach Chatuchak in few minutes.
I hope my post do help you in visiting Chatuchak!
