Chinatown

Chinatown
Since the first time i visiting Bangkok, Chinatown is on my wishing list to visit. But I found out so far and so troublesome to visit that place. So at last, I have to cancel my visit to Chinatown. Finally, I found out we actually can visit that place by using public transport. (details at bottom of the post)

The reason why I must visit Chinatown as they are famous with those super duper cheap accessories. And yes! They do super duper cheap but in wholesale quantities (10 pieces and above) So I do enjoy shopping accessories in Chinatown such as earings, hairbands, rings and so on. Besides, you also can find toys, children stuffs and handbags in Chinatown.

Seafoods
I strongly recommend to visit Chinatown if you really want to shop in bundle or huge quantities. Because like this you can only get cheaper prices. If you plan to start your small online business, you may find your inventories in Chinatown. But Chinatown is quite complicated and so pack with peoples. We been searching in Chinatown for about half hours only we able to find the exact market to shop as that whole area is Chinatown and you wouldn't get any helpful directions from local people.

The entrance to market
You can reach Chinatown by using public transport BTS and MRT. But their system is slightly different from Malaysia, you only tap once and can exchange from MRT to LRT. But in Bangkok, you cannot do so. You have to tap out if you want to exchange from BTS and MRT. I will explain the road from where I start. At Siam, used National Stadium BTS line and take to Sala Daeng station. Than exchange to MRT Si-Lom station (is a long way from BTS and MRT, you may follow the crowd) to reach last station Hua-Lamphong station. When you reach you may follow the direction board (which direct you the correct exit way) and take taxi. It only cost about 150baht (if traffic jam).

Terminal21 - Tokyo Street
Terminal21 mostly selling branded stuffs such as Nike, Adidas and so on. Women fashion located on 1st floor (Tokyo) and for men fashion is located on 2nd floor (London). Besides, Terminal21 also selling those local designer brand which I found out quite attractive.

Mr. Jones Orphanage @ Siam Center

Mr. Jones Orphanage @ Siam Square
Mr. Jones Orphanage is a must visit cafe when travel to Bangkok. The one I visit is located in Siam Square (level 2 if not mistaken) It so easy to find as it located nearby Starbucks and Charles & Keith. Actually we did visit the one located in Thong Lor but unfortunately, that one in renovation and don't know when it will open back. So we decided to visit back Siam Square one.

Menu
This cafe famous with their environment which bears are everywhere. This one a bit small and limited spaces. But the reason I'm so in love with this place is their desserts! Trust me, their desserts really nice even a bit costly. (compare with other cafes) The price range is around 85baht to 150baht for their cakes and 100baht to 160baht for their drinks.

Blueberry Cheesecake

Red Velvet Cake

Strawberry waffle served with Vanilla ice-cream

Cappucino
I have tried their blueberry cheesecakes, red velvet (my favorite), strawberry waffle and so on. My friend and I always order different cakes so that we can share different cakes in once. For those have budget, you may try our ways. This cafe don't have any main cuisine, so I suggest that you must have your meal before you visit this cafe. For drinks, just choose which one you like. For me, I will always choose coffee because their cups are cute.

Variety of cakes
I hope you can enjoy the environment there by taking plenty of photos!

I found some handmade WooDoo which design for many characters. (Iron Man, Spiderman, Elsa, Mickey & Minnie and others) Just name it and you can found it.

The price is affordable for me as all these are handmade. The WooDoo cost 80baht if buy 1 only. (Buy more can get cheaper price) The price for those handmade bunny around 150baht to 350baht according to the size.

All bunny in different fabric and also colors

Coconut Ice-cream @ Chatuchak

Yummy coconut ice-cream!
The only snack that you will never miss out when you are in Bangkok is coconut ice-cream. Various of topping to choose and full with coconut. Totally in my must try listing. My favorite topping are red beans and nuts.

The stall
Variety of toppings
I purchase this coconut ice-cream from an old husband and wife. This stall is located at the junction of Section 9. (Should be easy to find with the picture lol) They have plenty of topping and the stall also full of people even tourists. There are lots of stall selling coconut ice-cream and it is hard to try all of it. So I just introduce what I have tried which I think nice. Each coconut ice-cream cost 30baht with 2 toppings.

Noodle Soup with Chicken @ Chatuchak

The shop
The only food I'm able to try at Chatuchak is this noodle soup with chicken. (Sorry I don't know the shop name lol) At first we just want to find something to fill our starving stomach. After looking for almost half hour, datah! I found this shop which full of people.
Inside of the shop

Environment
This shop looks simple but the people keep coming non stop. The menu write in Thai and we don't have any idea what is recommended. So we decided to order noodle soup with chicken. (After saw the table beside eating and it looks delicious)

Yummy!
And yes! It is so delicious! Spicy and big! Satisfied overload. The noodle just nice and not over cook. We been served chicken leg for each bowl. Although the place quite small and pack, but the food satisfaction overcome those. Each bowl cost 50baht and its worth!

Chatuchak Night Market

Chatuchak Night Market

Chatuchak Weekend Market (JJ Weekend Market) famous with their variety of merchandises. Now they are open in night. Yes, Chatuchak Night Market. We are so lucky that we are able to enjoy the night market. But compare with day market, night market have less stores open. Same with day market, the market is as many people as day market.Chatuchak Night Market start from 6pm something as the shops in sections are closing. Mostly they are selling clothing but also foods and accessories.
Clothing

Accessories
Not all sections open during night market. Mostly only stores outside sections open during nighttime. I suggest you may reach around 4pm and start shopping because that time is the most suitable weather for shopping. Besides, the sellers will start to have big discounts for their stuffs as they hope to clear out their stocks as many as they can.
Food & Drinks

I'm always survey before I travel. I had read that we can get cheap stuffs in Chatuchak. Yes you may but if only you know how to bargain. You can get lower price if you buy in 3 pieces and above (wholesale price). But for my experiences, or maybe I'm not good in bargain, I can't get as low price as other night market.

Clothing
You may take taxi to Chatuchak and it costs 100-250baht. You may also take BTS to the last station Mo Chit, walk across a bridge and walk few minutes. It cost about 25baht from Chit Lom station if not mistaken. For me, if you want to save costs and you don't mind to walk, take BTS should be your choice.

Lastly, I hope my post will be useful and helpful.

Chatuchak Weekend Market

Chatuchak Weekend Market
Chatuchak Weekend Market (also know as JJ Market) open everyday but for clothing only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I have been this place for 4 times already but I still cannot remember all the sections. (too much sections and it is too big) You can found furniture, pets, clothing, food and accessories in Chatuchak.

For me, I did Google for all sections but I didn't able to use it as it is hard to shop follow those sections. I'm always shop where I am and you can find some surprise also. For those who love second hand stuffs, Chatuchak will be your favorite place ever! Besides, handmade stuffs are also easy to find in Chatuchak. Handmade bracelet, bags, and accessories are available in Chatchak with reasonable price. (if you good in bargain, you can get better and cheaper price)

Variety of shoes
Pony earing
My suggestion when you want to shop in Chatuchak, NEVER BRING HUGE HANDBAG! Why I say so? That is based on my experiences. Chatuchak is huge but the stores walkway is small and trust me, there will be lots of people during weekend. One of the reason is to avoid from pick-pockets. Another reason is you will hit by those people pass-by. Trust me! You will be piss-off especially when you are in hot and sweaty conditions.

Small walk way
For me, Chatuchak is the must visit place when you are in Bangkok. Who never went Chatuchak when travel to Bangkok? So I will always arrange my flight before weekend so that I can go Chatuchak on weekend. Another suggestion for me, you may go there by early morning. Some shop in Chatuchak open at 7am or 8am. So you can shop with not so hot weather in Chatuchak. I'm sure you will definitely can't stand the super hot weather at 12pm something.

Section 22
The first 3 times I go Chatuchak by taxi and I'm always get different offer from the driver. Some ridiculous driver will tend to charge you higher price and others. But now you may go Chatuchak by BTS. (which is LRT in Malaysia) You just have to get down at Mo Chit Station (last station for Mo Chit line) and walk across a bridge. Follow the crowd and you will reach Chatuchak in few minutes.

I hope my post do help you in visiting Chatuchak!
